Das Racist perfomed at The Echoplex a couple of months ago. This was my first time seeing this band perform as well as being at The Echoplex.
Now let’s get down to the T, shall we?
The only thing I didn’t like about The Echoplex was the crowd, it was a mixture between Hipster/Grunge/Gay/Wigger kinda thing. I was just not really feeling it. But the place as a club is pretty cool, a lot space and comfortable atmosphere.
Now, I was expecting a lot from Das Racist. I had been listening to their music for a few months as well as watchings some of their videos on Youtube. Their look was edgy enough and their beats were pretty dope. It was pretty much working me. I was really looking forward to see them live.
Well they took forever to get on stage and once they got on stage they did not serve what I was expecting. Their performance was messy and one of the guys seemed to be intoxicated. Now, I don’t have a problem with that at all, but I do have a problem when I’m paying to see your ass perform. So you better perform and perform damn good. It was really disappointing I’m not gonna lie.
But then maybe it was just a bad night… I don’t know. I’m down to see them perform again though, so we will see ha ha ha…
